Pearson International Airport Departure Boards

Brigade was proud to be selected as the sub-contracted installer of Toronto Pearson Airport’s four 24’x13′ departure boards located at Terminal 3. These four departure boards were installed in the winter of 2016/2017 and fully operational for guests before spring.

Proudly built completely by Canadian Afghan War veterans.

Pearson International Airport Departure Boards

01

The Situation

Four large curved LED departure boards indoors each broken down into six vertical “slices” which need to be installed on the curved ceiling within 1mm of alignment. Also, very small entrance height prevents movement of large equipment into the airport.

02

The Solution

Brigade, along with partners, built a forklift inside the airport capable of lifting the displays to the necessary height with technicians in aerial work platforms on both sides connecting the displays.

03

The Success

All four departure boards installed successfully on time without incident within the 1mm requirement and operational in Q1 2017.
